Mentoring Research Group

In 2023, the OFALD initiated the Mentoring Research Group (MeRG) to help participants develop specific and technical skills needed to become more effective in the publishing process and become more empowered as they develop a personal plan to address the potential barriers and identify a pathway to success. The program promotes the career development and advancement of faculty, staff and grad students at Brody School of Medicine.

MeRG provides monthly workshop programming on research topics and resources for 12 months. In addition to the monthly workshops, participants meet with the mentors one on one monthly for a total of 18 months. Mentees in the program are paired with mentors whose experience and background closely match their research interests.

MeRG participants are required to complete a project which will be shared with all program participants, mentors and Chairs as part of their participation in the program.
