Clinical Experiences Abroad

The purpose of this Website is to provide medical students at the Brody School of Medicine (BSOM) who wish to participate in elective rotations in countries other than the United States with the proper guidelines and procedures for doing so.

The Brody Office of Student Affairs facilitates these experiences in conjunction with International Affairs.  A representative from International Affairs is also available twice each month in the Brody Office of Student Affairs to assist with visa information and travel insurance. Contact Brody Student Affairs for additional information.

If you are planning an international rotation as an M4, either independently (Individually Designed Elective-IDE) or through a Brody catalog course, there are a list of required documents and verifications that you will need to complete through the Office of Global Affairs. These things should be completed two months prior to your departure.
