Our Mission

• Provide faculty, staff and students in the ECU community access to high-quality, cost-effective resources in mass spectrometry.
• Collaborate with the ECU community to determine how best to address their scientific questions with mass spectrometry
• Encourage the participation of students in mass spectrometry techniques and data analysis through independent study courses or training on faculty/staff research projects

• The MS Core facilities have a positive impact on discovering new knowledge and transforming health care by providing ECU’s research faculty and staff with technology not readily accessible to them in the region.  Access to these technologies increases research quality and rigor and allows for new and innovative studies.
• The MS Core facilities contributes to ECU’s educational mission by preparing students in the STEM field with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in a highly competitive and diverse society through hands-on learning experiences.
