Distinguished Alumni Award Nomination Form

Purpose

The ECU Brody School of Medicine Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes outstanding contributions in the areas of medical science and education or the prevention and treatment of diseases, as well as those who demonstrate a continued interest in the medical school and its students.

Eligibility

Any graduate at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University may be nominated and is eligible base on the following criteria, however not all elements are required:

  • Demonstrated excellence in academic achievement, teaching, or outstanding work in practice or industry
  • Service to the Brody School of Medicine such as:
    1. delivery of health services,
    2. community work, and/or
    3. community relations
  • Ongoing relationship with the medical school since graduation, particularly efforts to promote the school and its interests
  • Other outstanding achievements worthy of recognition by the school

Dr. Katherine Bray-Strickland Alumni Award

Dr. Katherine Bray-Strickland Award Nomination Form

Purpose

The ECU Brody School of Medicine Dr. Katherine Bray-Strickland Alumni Award recognizes outstanding contributions of recent graduates in the areas of medical science and education, or the prevention and treatment of disease, as well as those who demonstrate a continued interest in the medical school and its students, in the spirit of Dr. Katherine Bray-Strickland who inspired many to do their best.

Eligibility

Any graduate of the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University within the past ten (10) years is eligible.

The following criteria is considered, but not all elements are required:

  • Demonstrated excellence in leadership, practice, or research
  • Enthusiasm for the mission of the Brody School of Medicine
  • Passion and commitment for the field of medicine
