Enhancing Relationships Between Faculty and Learners
Relationships between faculty and students are the foundation of a medical school experience. In this short presentation are tips to enhance relationships between faculty and students from the perspective “They’re safe. I listen. We Act”. This presentation is uniquely tailored to help faculty bond with students who may be from different cultures or backgrounds.
Teaching in the Medical Environment
The ON TiME (Teaching in Medical Environment) Training module serves as an overview for teaching in the medical environment and was created specifically for those who take on any role as teacher of the ECU Brody School of Medicine students. This training may be used by faculty, residents, fellows, graduate students, post-docs and affiliate faculty (community physicians). Those taking this module will learn best practices in teaching, feedback and evaluation, all while focusing on evidence-based patient care and fair and respectful treatment of students.
BSOM Connection Initiative: Medical Student Well Check Calls
Keeping medical students engaged throughout their training is important to Brody. This has been especially important during the Covid-19 pandemic. The following presentation provides an introductory training for medical student well checks. If you are a faculty member who would like to help us with our medical students in this way, please review this presentation and contact academic affairs.
