Student Referral Program
Student Referral Program
The Student Referral Program provides in-house assistance to Brody medical and graduate students. It also promotes students’ success and well-being, along with early intervention for students experiencing distress or demonstrating behavioral concerns. This referral enables faculty and staff to refer students of concern to the office for additional support. Students and family members can also submit referrals. Students, faculty, staff, peers, and family members can submit referrals anonymously but are encouraged to identify themselves on the referral.
The referrals are received by the Wellness Counselor and kept confidentially on the office’s Piratedrive, which only the Wellness Counselor can access. Once the Wellness Counselor gets the referral, the student is contacted within 24-48 business hours to assess the situation and implement/document support interventions.
This in-house referral system does not replace the campus-wide ECU CARES referral program. It is an additional referral option for referring Brody’s medical and graduate students for personal support.
The Student Referral Form is not for emergency response situations.
