Parking for Orientation

On Monday July 20, parking will be open (no registration needed) in the B lots off North Campus Loop, to the right as you enter from Moye Blvd. After parking registration opens during the first week of August, you will need to be registered to park here. Online registration for new and returning students for fall 2026 has not yet begun. ECU uses a “Plate to Permit System,” using license plate recognition software in lieu of a physical permit. Instead of parking decals for vehicles, your vehicle license plate(s) will be registered with ECU Parking, and the fee paid for the specific parking zone (B4). Step Up to Brody

Step Up to Brody is a self-paced virtual module designed to support a strong start at Brody! The goal is to strengthen your academic, personal, & professional/leadership skills. The program is facilitated by the Office of Student Success & Wellness (OSSaW) and is housed in the Canvas platform. Over the summer, OSSaW will email admitted students an invitation to accept the BSOM Class of 2030 Step Up to Brody module.

All M1 students are expected to complete Step Up to Brody requirements, including the virtual module & a 1:1 meeting with an OSSaW team member. The module + meeting must be completed before M1 Orientation begins. Technology Requirement:

To enhance your medical education journey, you are required to purchase the 2 items listed inside the *required* box on the order form (Microsoft Surface Laptop & M1 Student Success Kit), all other items are optional. We have coordinated with the ECU Dowdy Student Store to allow for easy purchasing. Steps for successful ordering can be found below.

During the first day of orientation, your device and success kit will be distributed during the technology distribution session.
