Application Process and Timeline
The Brody School of Medicine (BSOM) participates in the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS). Applicants need to visit the website of AMCAS to obtain instructions for this electronic application.
Application Procedure for the 2030 Entering Class
Early Decision
The Early Decision Program gives medical school applicants the opportunity to secure an acceptance from one Early Decision Program-participating medical school by October 1, while still allowing sufficient time to apply to other schools if you are not accepted. Beginning for the 2025-2026 cycle, BSOM will participate in the AAMC EDP program. Applicants seeking admission through this program will not be able to apply to other medical schools until a decision is reached regarding their application to BSOM.

Regular Admissions Process
- AMCAS 2025 Application
- Web-based application.
- Applicant must have internet access and e-mail address.
- Application and Acceptance Protocols for Applicants (AAMC).
- Filing dates for BSOM: May 1, 2025 – October 1, 2025.

- Application link will be e-mailed upon receipt of verified AMCAS application. Initial transmission of AMCAS applications does not begin until June 27, 2025.
- All applicants will not receive a Supplemental Application invitation. Invitations will be sent following the initial application review.
- Non-refundable application fee: $100
- Fee Waiver is Applicable for AAMC Fee Assistance Program (FAP)
- No paper applications will be accepted.
- Letters of Reference
- Only accepted electronically through AMCAS.
- Should be received by AMCAS no later than October 1st.
- There are two options for required letters:
- EITHER
- Three individual letters
- two clinical experiences references, preferably from a physician or another member of a clinical team who can speak to your patient facing experiences
AND - one professional/academic reference (can be from an individual who has taught you coursework for a grade, provided research mentorship, employer, advisor, or other non-family individual).

- Three individual letters
- OR
- One letter from the Pre-Medical Advisory Committee at your undergraduate school, plus one letter from clinical experience (preferably from a physician or another member of a clinical team who can speak to your patient facing experiences)
- EITHER
- Applicants are responsible for assuring that required letters have been submitted and released by the applicant to BSOM.
- Letters submitted directly to our program cannot be accepted.
- Additional recommendation letters will not be accepted after the deadline (including alternate applicants).
- Oldest MCAT Scores Considered: 2022
- Scores older than 3 years not considered
- 2026 scores will NOT be considered. All application materials, including MCAT scores must be received by October 1, 2025.
